Gentlemen’s club needed | Besoin d’un club à l’anglaise

It’s Sunday, raining outside and without TV (for the past, what, 10+ years) what is left is either listening to radio (if possible something that puts stuff that makes sense between one’s ears), read a book or surf the net.

On est dimanche, il pleut et sans télé (depuis 10 ans au moins) ce qui reste à faire est soit écouter la radio (si possible quelque chose qui fasse sens à se mettre entre les oreilles), lire un livre ou surfer le net.

I titled this post : ‘English club needed’. It is not so much needed than it would certainly fill up a gap in this corner of the world. We have markets, pubs/bars, (places where one, along with going about one’s business, may socialize), we don’t have specific places which primary intent would be socializing and socializing only.

J’ai titré ce billet : ‘Besoin d’un club à l’anglaise’. Ce n’est pas tant nécessaire qu’apprécié en ce qu’il comblerait une lacune dans cette partie du monde. Nous avons des marchés, des bars, … (endroits où, en plus de vaquer à ses propres occupations, on peut socialiser), nous n’avons pas d’endroits dont l’intention première serait de seulement socialiser.

Of course, unlike the original version, the club would be open about gender and social status (in particular, no question of elitism there). In fact, it would be a club in that it would primarily be about gathering people, barring all kind of segregation.

Bien sûr, contrairement à la version originale, le club serait ouvert concernant genre et statut social (en particulier, pas question d’élitisme là). En fait, ce serait un club en ce qu’il s’agirait d’abord de rassembler des gens, interdisant tous types de ségrégation.

I would pay a subscription for that / Je paierais un abonnement pour ça.

It could be virtual, although … ^_^/ Ça pourrait être virtuel, quoique … ^_^
