Web2.0 and joining force with… Environment

A radio programme I was listening to the other day [http://bit.ly/QuandLesTechnosSeMettentAuVert in French] made me think of the possibility that if Web 2.0 joined force with Environment the latter could help implement what the latter has so miserably failed at implementing.

Un programme radio que j’écoutais l’autre jour [http://bit.ly/QuandLesTechnosSeMettentAuVert en Français] m’a fait penser à la possibilité que si le Web 2.0 se joignait à l’Environnement ce dernier pourrait aider le premier à mettre en place ce que celui-ci a si misérablement échoué à faire.

Let’s be honest, who around you saw, at work, at school or any place that supposedly would benefit from implementing collaborative tools (otherwise called Web 2.0) has seen any change since … e-mail?

Soyons honnêtes, qui autour de vous, au travail, à l’école ou toute autre endroit qui, supposément, bénéficierait de la mise en place d’outils collaboratifs (aussi appelé Web 2.0) a vu un changement quelconque depuis … l’e-mail?

What if the way we work now was, environmentally, assessed? Reasons, theories and whatever thesis kept repeating endlessly how much easier/better/quicker/more efficient it was to work with new tools, to no avail so any alternative way to tackle the issue can only be welcome, right?

Et si la façon dont nous travaillons maintenant était, du point de vue Environnement, évaluée? Des raisons, des théories et pléthores de thèses ont répété  à l’envi combien plus facile/mieux/ plus rapide et efficace il était de travailler avec de nouveaux outils, sans succès aussi n’importe quelle façon alternative d’adresser le problème ne peut qu’être bien accueillie, non?

How do you think an email (to which one or several documents would be attached) being sent to many would compare with same email with a simple link leading to aforementioned document that would be hosted in one and only location?

Comment est-ce que vous penser qu’un email (auquel serai(en)t attaché(s) un ou plusieurs documents) envoyés à plusieurs personnes se comparerait à ce même email avec un simple lien menant au(x)dit(s) document(s) qui serait hébergé en seul et même endroit?

We’re nowhere near Web 2.0 yet but you get the idea; This example only grazes the subject an one can see here a different angle, a new way of, again, advocating usage of Web 2.0.

Nous n’en sommes pas encore au Web 2.0 mais vous saisissez l’idée; cet exemple ne fait que survoler le sujet mais on peut voir ici un angle différent, une nouvelle façon de promouvoir l’usage du Web 2.0, encore.
